Please follow these directions. If you have any questions at any stage of your submission, please feel free to ask.

Keep in mind as well that guidelines are strict, and that more pages get rejected than get accepted. If your submission is rejected, you will be told why, in order that you may make improvements to your stories if you choose to do so.

If you have submitted previously and have been rejected, but have since improved your writing and the quality of the stories on your page, please do not hesitate to resubmit. We check each and every submission and we read the stories that are on the submitted pages!

READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS FIRST!!

  1. First of all, here are the rules for joining in case you skipped that page. Be sure to read before you attempt to submit yoursite!
  2. Do not add the HTML to your page.

Sorry to be so loud about it, but people tend to do just that - add the HTML without being accepted. It causes confusion on the ring, gives a false impression of the page, and causes lots of problems if/when that page is rejected. To this end, PLEASE IGNORE the instructions on the "submission successful" page; do not add the HTML once you receive it. When we check your page, it will be to see that you have NOT added it.

  3. When you submit your site, it will be placed in a queue to wait for processing by the ringmasters. You will be notified if and when you are added to the ring.

  4. You will be shown a 'Confirmation - Application Sent' page, which will inform you that your site has been successfully submitted to the (Good) Fanfiction Webring queue. It gives you the code - do NOT put that code on your page. See rule two for clarification.

  5. You will receive notification by email for the following:
    • A. Your site was successfully submitted to the (Good) Fanfiction Webring. They will send you the code - once more, don't bother to use it.

Later, when we have had time to review your site, you will receive an email telling you one of two things:

    • B. Your site was not accepted for the (Good) Fanfiction Webring
You will receive an email explaining why you were not accepted for the ring. There is nothing preventing you from resubmitting later, should you take the time to improve the stories on your site. In fact, we encourage you to write us and ASK for more direction; several of our present members had to submit more than once to get in, so don't be too discouraged the first time.

    • C. Your site was accepted for the (Good) Fanfiction Webring
In this case you will receive two emails; one automated from the site, and one from us welcoming you directly. We'll give you the page that has variations of the accepted code on it. If you have any questions at that point, just let us know and we'll walk you through whatever needs to be dealt with.

    • One more time: Do NOT attempt to add the HTML before being accepted - if you do, we will ask you to remove it.

Sorry to make such a fuss about it, but it's been proven too often in the past that people don't read rules. We figured big, bold and red might get your attention. ~_^

  6. If you have any questions or further problems, email us.

Now, if we haven't scared you away completely... SUBMIT YOUR SITE!
